Reviving the Riverfront: Live! Casino Louisiana Lights Up Bossier City

What was once a shuttered riverboat casino is now a beacon of renewal and excitement on the banks of the Red River. Rising from the bones of the long-closed Diamond Jacks Casino, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is breathing vibrant new life into Bossier City’s entertainment scene—ushering in a new era of energy, elegance, and economic opportunity.

Backed by investment from The Cordish Companies, the transformation is nothing short of spectacular. The formerly abandoned site has been reimagined by HBG Design, a Fremont-Wright Company, in collaboration with Architect-of-Record KdG, a division of Shive-Hattery Inc., into a land-based, state-of-the-art gaming and hospitality destination, complete with over 1,000 gaming positions, a glowing center bar, and immersive design elements inspired by the natural curves of the nearby river.

But this project is about more than just gaming. It’s about revitalization. The redevelopment will generate 750 permanent positions, injecting new momentum into the local economy. 

The project also marks a symbolic turning point. After years of uncertainty and failed relocation attempts by previous owners, the site is now a flagship of renewal, thanks to Cordish’s vision and commitment. “It’s going to be game-changing,” said Jon Cordish. “You’ll feel like you’re in a premier casino and resort in the top gaming markets, including Las Vegas” 

As the iconic red Live! logo was hoisted atop the newly renovated 11-story hotel, it wasn’t just a branding moment—it was a signal that Bossier City is back in the spotlight, ready to shine brighter than ever. As HBG Design President Nathan Peak, AIA stated, “Live! Casino Louisiana is designed to captivate—delivering an experience that’s as visually expressive as it is unforgettable.”
